Description: A few weeks ago, I saw an Instagram post from Christabel Mintah Galloway that asked the question: Where do we build queer relationships outside the party & protest? The slides were thoughtful discussions around the organization of space and gathering, and thinking about the places where Queer and Trans folks most often come together — meeting at parties, in movement spaces, in and around nightlife, connecting at protests or marches or meetings. The same is likely true for us poets. Some of us connect at literary events, readings, bookstores, conferences, and cafes. And, of course, through social media, as well. It would be impossible to ignore how COVID-19 (and other disabling events) ha ve asked us to adapt our gatherings.
