Editorial Assistant: The Editorial Assistant is in charge of handling our prose submissions, by assigning them to our editorial interns. Each week, the EA will review the interns' votes, and will send the manuscripts that align with Abode and our editorial vision to the Senior Editor to take a look at. After the reading period closes, the EA is responsible for sending responses to the submissions. The EA will work with the Senior Editor to narrow down final selections and communicate with authors. Experience with working with fiction and nonfiction submissions is preferred. This position requires a yearlong commitment at a minimum. This position comes with a small honorarium.

Marketing + Sales Manager: The Marketing + Sales Manager is in charge of creating our marketing campaigns for each full-length title. This means coming up with special promotional ideas for books, including merch. Marketing + Sales Manager is in charge of working with the Social Media team to develop concepts and ideas for our social channels to drive interest in our titles. As for Sales, the Manager is in charge of setting up products for sale on our website, fulfilling direct shipment orders via Ingram, and providing a monthly report of how books are selling so we can adopt new strategies. Marketing + Sales can expect to work closely with the Publicity, Events, and Social Media department. Experience with Marketing + Sales is preferred. This position requires a yearlong commitment at a minimum. This position comes with a small honorarium.

Grants and Development: Lastly, we need a Grants and Development person to help us scale the organization and acquire more funding so we can offer higher advances and keep the organization sustainable. This person is responsible for managing our yearly fundraiser, securing donors, and more. This position requires a year long commitment at a minimum. This position can receive payment through any acquired funding opportunities (i.e. a percentage of a grant, etc).
